This qualification program has been meticulously crafted by Senior Lecturers at the University of Helsinki, and it entails 18 months of both theoretical and practical training to successfully complete. This ensures that our staff is well-prepared to provide the highest level of care and education to your children.

All of staff have passed a rigorous interview process and have completed a Paediatric First Aid Course.

External Staff Training

Our teachers undergo an exclusive 18-month FinlandWay training program, with all external training covered and provided by Nordic Star. This includes courses such as First Aid and Fire Marshals, among others.


All staff undergo a comprehensive 5-day onboarding process before commencing work at the centre, aiming to guide and support them in their new roles. Our goal is to ensure that every team member feels empowered and confident upon joining.

Buddy Programme

During their probation period, all staff members will be paired with a buddy who will offer professional and personal support, aiding in the seamless integration into the North Star family.

Annual Training in Helsinki at HQ

Our staff has the annual opportunity to undergo training at our headquarters in Helsinki.

Leadership Programmes and internal training
